SPACE OF CHALLENGE ASIA

Competition Details: Drone Soccer Championship 2026

Drone Soccer

Drone Soccer is a team competition played with sUAS (small Uncrewed Aerial System) aircraft enclosed in protective spherical cages. Matches take place within a netted playing area with teams standing outside each end zone. Each team flies three drones: one Striker, the only drone that can score by flying through the opposing goal, and All-rounders that pass to the Striker and defend their own goal. The team with the most goals in a three-minute Set wins that Set, and the team that wins two Sets wins the Match.

FAQs

The playing area is 16 m long and 8 m wide, surrounded by a net or cage.
If a set ends with equal goals, the team with more ball possession (the longer time in control) wins the set. If the match is tied at one set each, the winner is determined by the method announced by the organizer before the tournament.
Each team has three pilots controlling three drones: one Striker and All-rounders. Players may swap positions, but must inform the referee before the set begins.

If a drone is damaged and cannot fly, the pilot must disarm the aircraft and place the radio on the ground.

A goal is scored when the Striker flies completely through the opposing team’s goal in the forward direction.
